Ashley French

Ashley Michelle Tisdale-French (née Tisdale; born July 2, 1985) is an American actress, singer, and producer. Originally from West Deal, New Jersey, she began her early career with appearances in over 100 TV advertisements, alongside roles in theatre and television shows during her childhood.

Acting Career

Her career breakthrough came in 2004 when she was cast as Maddie Fitzpatrick in Disney Channel's *The Suite Life of Zack & Cody*. Her prominence significantly increased in 2006 with her role as Sharpay Evans in the television film *High School Musical*. The overall *High School Musical* series spanned three films and included the spin-off *Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure* (2011).

Music Career

Following her success in acting, Tisdale signed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records in 2006. She released her debut album, *Headstrong* (2007), which was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and featured the single "He Said She Said." Two years later, she followed up with her second studio album, *Guilty Pleasure*. In 2013, she returned to the music scene with her first indie album titled *Symptoms*.
