Emilia Isobel Euphemia Rose Clarke, MBE, is an English actress born on 23 October 1986.

Career
Clarke studied at Drama Centre London and made her television debut in 2009 with a guest appearance in the BBC One medical soap opera, Doctors, when she was 22 years old. Her stage career includes a Broadway debut as Holly Golightly in the play Breakfast at Tiffany's in 2013. She also played Nina in a West End production of The Seagull, which was later suspended due to the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Her acting roles have spanned television and film. Clarke is best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, which ran from 2011 to 2019. In film, she portrayed Sarah Connor in the science fiction film Terminator: Genisys (2015) and Qi'ra in the Star Wars film Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018). She also starred in the romantic dramas Me Before You (2016) and Last Christmas (2019). More recently, she had a role named G'iah in the Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries, Secret Invasion (2023).

Awards and Recognition
For her work in Game of Thrones, Clarke received nominations for four Primetime Emmy Awards.
