Glee: Una Nueva Era para la Música y el Espectáculo en TV La serie Glee, estrenada por la cadena Fox en septiembre de 2009, marcó una rotonda entrada en el panorama televisivo con su innovadora mezcla de música, drama, comedia y entretenimiento. No siendo una secuela, precuela ni spin-off de otra serie, ni tampoco basada en un libro, Glee es una creación original de Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk y Ian Brennan. La serie está ambientada en la ficticia William McKinley High School, ubicada en la ciudad de Lima, Ohio. Allí nos enfrentamos a un grupo de estudiantes que se reúnen con el objetivo común de participar en el club de glee club, un club escolar de coro integrado por estudiantes considerados "extraños" o "divertidos", que buscan encontrar su lugar en el colegio y alrededor del mundo. El show se destina a un público amplio, abarcando temas como la inclusión social, la amistad, el amor adolescente y la superación personal. Los momentos más destacados de la primera temporada incluyen las interpretaciones musicales excepcionales de canciones clásicas y modernas, así como los momentos emotivos y dramáticos que reflejan la vida de los personajes. Los principales personajes de Glee son Finn Hudson (interpretado por Cory Monteith), una joven promesa futura para el fútbol americano que se une al glee club tras sufrir una lesión; Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), una joven talentosa que soñaba con convertirse en una estrella de Broadway; Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer), un estudiante gay que ama la moda y el teatro; Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale), un estudiante en silla de ruedas que se desempeña como reportero del periódico escolar; Tina Cohen-Chang (Jenna Ushkowitz), una joven chica asiática que tiene un gran talento vocal y cierta inclinación por la actuación; y los hermanos Puckerman, Jake (Jacob Artist) y Sam (Chord Overstreet), dos jóvenes que se caracterizan por su impulsividad y su amor por las chicas.
