Primera Temporada de Prisoner: Cell Block H (1979) Prisioners: Cell Block H, titulada Prisoners en su versión original, es una serie australiana transmitida por la cadena Seven Network desde el 20 de febrero de 1979. La serie se desarrolla en un centro correccional femenino y sigue las vidas y conflictos de sus internas. No es una secuela, precuela ni reboot de otra serie. La trama gira en torno a la vida diaria en la prisión Wentworth, explorando temáticas como el control, la corrupción, el abuso de poder y las relaciones interpersonales. La serie ha tenido una gran influencia en el género televisivo del drama criminal y ha inspirado a producciones como Orange Is the New Black. La serie no está basada directamente en un libro; sin embargo, se inspira en las experiencias reales de la expresidenta de la Junta Penitenciaria de Nueva Gales del Sur, Joan Stringybark, quien colaboró en el desarrollo temático y narrativo.
