Aquaman es una serie animada Filmation que se estrenó en CBS el 9 de septiembre de 1967 y finalizó en junio de 1970. Es una versión de 30 minutos de The Superman / Aquaman Hour of Adventure, reempaquetada sin los segmentos Superman y Superboy. El espectáculo está compuesto por aventuras previamente transmitidas en las que aparecen los superhéroes de DC Comics Aquaman y su compañero Aqualad, Atom, Flash y Kid Flash, Linterna Verde y el Hawkman. Aquaman: El Origen Desconocido de la Primera Temporada de 1967 La serie animada Aquaman, estrenada por primera vez en 1967, es una producción independiente sin relación aparente con cualquiera otra serie de televisión o películas. No se trata de una secuela, precuela, spin-off ni reboot de ninguna obra preexistente. Este animado show se centra en la vida y aventuras del héroe marino Aquaman, el Príncipe Arthur Curry, que goza de poderosas habilidades acuáticas y comunicación telepática con los peces. La trama gira en torno a su lucha por proteger Atlantis, el reino submarino, de las amenazas tanto internas como externas. La serie no está basada directamente en ningún libro o fuente literaria conocida. Sin embargo, la historia de Aquaman se remonta a 1941 cuando primera aparición apareció en "More Fun Comics" #73, publicado por DC Comics. Su personaje fue creado por Mort Weisinger y Paul Norris. Aquaman está dirigido principalmente a un público infantil y juvenil, brindando una combinación entre la acción, el humor, y las lecciones morales.
