La trama va de seis pequeños sirenos de entre 4-5 años que viven en un lugar ficticio del océano llamado Bubbletucky , ellos asisten a la escuela a cargo del Mr. Grooper. En esta escuela los seis personajes imaginan increíbles y cómicas aventuras entre las cuales suelen aprender un montón de cosas. A veces los guppies salen de la escuela de excursión a la ciudad o lo que amerite el tema del episodio.
