Un Acerca de la Primer Temporada de Dance Moms de 2011 La primera temporada de la serie estadounidense Dance Moms, emitida en el año 2011, se centra en el mundo del ballet competitivo y las vidas personales de las madres y bailarinas de la Academia Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) ubicada en Pittsburgh, Pensilvania. Este reality show no es una secuela, precuela, spin-off ni reboot de otra serie. Sin embargo, es un programa derivado de otro, más específicamente, del documental de 2010 Tiny & Towerraging: Living Large in Small Spaces. La producción comenzó a filmar los ensayos semanales y las competencias de ALDC, lo que finalmente condujo al nacimiento de Dance Moms.
