Inmersión: Una Nueva Obra Maestra de la Televisión de 2010 Inmersion es una serie televisiva estadounidense creada por Jason Blumenthal, Tom Hanks y Gary Goetzman y emitida por la cadena Starz desde el 17 de enero de 2010. Esta producción de primera calidad, que consta de diez episodios en su primera temporada, se caracteriza por sus escenas realistas y detalladas ambientadas en diferentes lugares del mundo. Sobre lo que trata la serie Inmersion no es una secuela, precuela ni spin-off de otra serie. Es una creación original que aborda el tema de la inmersión cultural y lingüística al presentar a un actor famoso interpretando a personajes de diversas nacionalidades y lenguas para capturar su verdadera esencia. Reparto principal e historia La trama gira en torno a la vida personal y profesional de la actriz Marie Harrington, interpretada por Mary-Louise Parker. Marie recibe una oferta inesperada para formar parte de un proyecto secreto que consiste en viajar alrededor del mundo para estudiar diferentes lenguas y culturas, con el fin de mejorar su actuación en las producciones cinematográficas. Momentos destacados Una de las escenas más memorables de la serie es la primera aparición de Marie en la India, donde se enfrenta a un desafío cultural al intentar supervivir y adaptarse a los desafiantes rituales y costumbres hindúes.
